Not all babies were born to wear pastels and lace or baby blue sailboats. Some hip infants picked the right parents, and the right grandparents, so they get to wear brightly colored, cool, hip, funky baby clothes and accessories.

While it may seem a bit odd to traditional parents, modern parents know that babies see mostly black and white at first. Then, babies start seeing bright colors like red, hot pink, orange, green, etc.
A case could be made that dressing kids in cool offbeat artsy clothes is socially and developmentally good for them. More adults will notice hipster babies and pay attention to them. Interaction with adults (and other kids) is how babies learn. Infants certainly don’t learn by being parked in front of the ghetto tube (TV).
