There are several hotels in Seattle with pre and post Alaska cruise packages. The best places to stay are by Bell Street Pier 66, not by Smith Cove Pier 91.

Seattle is a fabulous city to explore. There are several luxury boutique hotels in Seattle with pre and post Alaska cruise packages. The city has great boutique hotels near the Bell Street Cruise Terminal Pier 66. However, there are no hotels (at all) by the new cruise terminal at Smith Cove Pier 91. So, stay in Downtown Seattle. This city is one of the best places around. Seattle is not too big, not too small, but just right. There are great restaurants and hip, fun things to do in Seatown.

The Edgewater Hotel, Next to, Not Just Near Bell Street Terminal Pier 66

This is the hotel where the Beatles stayed, in 1964. It’s actually right on the water, on a pier. Great location. Cool vibe. It is a glamorous rustic cabin style, and it might be the best boutique hotel in town. It has a fusion restaurant with cool decor. The iconic Edgewater Hotel sits next to the original Seattle Bell Street Cruise Terminal. For a special occasion, splurge for the romantic waterfront and watch the ferries and sailboats in Elliot Bay. A complimentary shuttle goes within a 2 mile radius of the hotel during most of the day.

This luxury Hotel is a high tech dream in a fabulous location. It’s close to the Seattle Waterfront, Pike Place Market, Benaroya Concert Hall, and Seattle Art Museum. It’s the perfect area for city folk (travelers not tourists) who might go to the Space Needle to take a few snaps, but then would move on to more urbane pleasures. One reviewer called it a “Zen Moment”.

Crowne Plaza Seattle Hotel

This is an upscale business hotel in a good location and has a complimentary breakfast. Some reviews say it’s fab, some are more picky. This hotel is not close to the Space Needle or Pike Place Market, but both places are easy to walk to. Crowne Plaza Seattle Hotel is in the business district, but anything in Downtown Seattle rocks.

Cruise Package:

  • Pre-cruise transfer to Pier 66 or Smith Cove Pier 91.
  • $179 to around $300.

These are the most hip, best places for pre and post Alaska cruise hotels in Seattle Washington. Some are walking distance to the Bell Street Terminal Pier 66. There are no hotels which are walking distance to Smith Cove Cruise Terminal, but the new terminal is not very far away from downtown.

There are plenty of just plain, middle income families going on a cruise they've spent years saving for---I would have appreciated the author throwing in some lower priced park and cruise hotels.

Hi Guest,

Usually the budget hotel article shows up in the left hand column. I'm not sure why it's not there now. Here's the link.

Not that good. There must be some good hotel deals under $300.00. Really didn't give me very good useful information. Come on.
